The front entry is one of the first things people notice about a home. When the steps don't match the rest of the hardscape - or they've just seen better days - it throws the whole look off. That's exactly the situation we were working with here.
The goal was straightforward: pour new concrete steps that tie cleanly into the existing paver walkway below. Sounds simple, but getting that transition right takes real attention to detail. The step dimensions, the finish, the way the base meets the paver edge - all of it has to line up or it looks patched together instead of intentional.
We poured the steps and finished the concrete with a texture that gives it some visual depth without being overdone. The result feels cohesive with the existing pavers rather than competing with them. That's the thing about mixing poured concrete with a paver patio or walkway - when it's done right, the two materials actually complement each other well.
Front entries like this don't need to be complicated to look great. Sometimes it's just about replacing what's worn out with something built properly - clean lines, solid construction, and a finish that holds up. That's what we aimed for here, and we're happy with how it came together.
